Our Story
Six Degrees was built from the ground up for Real-time Fraud detection.
Our first project was to identify and block CLI Spoofing and Refile being sent into a major African network. This required us to develop a way to test if the calling party was genuine during call setup. The challenge was to do this in a way that did not unduly impact call setup time and KPIs. We also needed to block calls that were spoofed but not those from genuine callers.
The first implementation detected and blocked the spoofed refile calls and the Operator’s international traffic increased by 22%. Our Real-time Verification System (RVS) was born.
